Breast pump accessories
Breast pump accessories are a good idea for the mom that intends to pump. It can be hard for a mom to be with her baby for every single feeding. Even moms who pump infrequently or just occasionally need some accessories to meet milk storage and comfort needs.
Milk storage is a very important issue. Milk must be chilled and stored frozen (if it will not be used within one day) in acceptable containers or bags. Not just any old Ziplock bag will do. Special freezer bags or bottles designed to hold breast milk are the best options. These are freezable and they have measurement markings and a place for labeling. Vehicle lighter adapters allow you to use your breast pump in the car. This is a great idea while traveling or as an emergency power source. Extra batteries are a good emergency supply if your breast pump has a battery power option.
Nipple shields allow a woman with flat nipples to feed her baby much more easily. Nursing pads are also great things for the breastfeeding mom. These pads are soft, absorbent pads and extra valves for the breast pump are also great breast pump accessories to have.
