Breastfeeding supplies
While there are lots of breastfeeding supplies on the
market, the only necessary supplies are the lactating mother and the
suckling infant. This is what makes breastfeeding convenient –
it does not require a lot of supplies to feed a baby at the breast.
Milk flows from mother to child. It is the most natural thing in the
world.
Even though it is the most natural thing in the world, there are a
few items that make breastfeeding more comfortable and convenient. For
example, nursing pillows (or any pillow really) can bring the baby to
a comfortable height to give the mother’s arms a rest. This can
be especially useful for moms recovering from a c-section. It also allows
the mom to relax a little more.
Nursing pads are available in reusable and disposable options. These
pads prevent leaking breast milk from wetting clothing. Other breastfeeding
supplies include burp cloths to catch or wipe baby’s spit up.
Many moms appreciate having their necessities gathered in a convenient
tote or basket next to them while they breastfeed their baby. For many
nursing moms, this basket of breastfeeding supplies might include a
water bottle for mom, extra nursing pads, a phone, a book, diapers,
wipes and burp clothes. Having these supplies handy makes breastfeeding
much more relaxed for the mother.
